Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

When you use Redline, we collect the following information:

• Account information: Your email address and name, provided during sign-up or via Google OAuth.
• Payment information: Processed and stored securely by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number, CVC, or billing address on our servers.
• Analysis content: The text you submit for analysis, along with your specified audience, objective, and any optional context. This content is stored in our database to provide your analysis history.
• Usage data: Basic analytics including page views and feature usage, collected via PostHog.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and operate the Redline analysis service.
• To process your subscription payments via Stripe.
• To save your analysis history and audience presets for your convenience.
• To improve the product based on aggregate, anonymized usage patterns.
• To communicate with you about your account or service updates.

3. How We Process Your Text

Text submitted for analysis is sent to Anthropic's API (Claude) for processing. Anthropic does not use your inputs to train its models and does not retain your data after processing your request. Your submitted text is stored in our database solely to provide your analysis history feature.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the following service providers, strictly to operate Redline:

• Anthropic — to process text analysis (API calls only, no data retention by Anthropic).
• Stripe — to process subscription payments.
• Supabase — to host our database infrastructure.
• Vercel — to host and serve the application.
• PostHog — for anonymized product analytics.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data — including analyses, presets, and account information — at any time from your Settings page. Upon account deletion, all your data is permanently removed from our database.

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your content and personal data:

• Encrypted in transit: All data transmitted between your browser and our servers is encrypted via HTTPS/TLS.
• Stored securely: Content you submit for analysis is stored securely in our database and associated with your account. Only you can access your analyses when authenticated.
• Not shared with third parties: Your analysis content is never sold, shared, or made available to any third party beyond the service providers listed in Section 4, which are used strictly to operate Redline.
• AI processing: Analyses are processed via Anthropic's API (Claude). Per Anthropic's data usage policy, API inputs are not used to train their models and are not retained after processing your request.
• Authentication: User accounts are secured via NextAuth.js with hashed passwords for email-based accounts and OAuth for Google sign-in.
• Payment security: Payment data is handled entirely by Stripe and never touches our servers.
• Deletable at any time: You can delete all your data — including every analysis, preset, and account detail — at any time from your Settings page.

7. Cookies

Redline uses essential cookies for authentication (session management) and a localStorage entry to remember your theme preference (light/dark mode). We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via email or a prominent notice on the site. Continued use of Redline after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
